Because not every building owner can or wants to place a Stella, Fischer, or Turrell in or in front of their building. Photography is an attractive medium that can be presented in various formats—from very small to enormous—both inside and outside buildings.
The costs are manageable, the installation relatively simple. And once it's hung, there's nothing left to do but enjoy the photographic art.
